Big Talkers: Lucy Azubuike

Artist Talk
On Saturday, September 26th from 6-730pm, Lucy Azubuike was Ruckus’ Big Talkers lecturer, talking about her practice and connection to nature. See the recording above, and find other event recordings and artist features on our Vimeo account.

Speaker: Lucy Azubuike

Lucy Azubuike, originally from Nigeria, works in sculpture, photography, painting, performance, and video art, recognizing beautiful shapes and forms in nature as wholly complete works of art. She strives to highlight the beauty of these forms and accentuate the similarities and connections that exist between them and us, so that we can stop for a moment and pay attention to the environment and connect it to our personal lives. Azubuike has exhibited nationally and internationally, led a workshop on nature photography at Josephine Sculpture Park, and is currently the 2020 Regional Artist in Residence at Bernheim Forest.
